I helped a friend with her old Windows XP machine today, and
it made me think of what I would do to maximize the
performance on a older PC. My friend's PC really wasn't
having serious problems, so I was able to quickly fix her
issue. It was at that point I noticed her system was sort of
in a time warp, still running the same software we installed
on it three years ago. They were good choices then, but I
think I would change a few things in order to get the best
performance out of this PC, or any PC of a similar age.
